American Society of Aviation Artists

The American Society of Aviation Artists is a non-profit organization founded in 1986 with the intent of fostering through art, the history of aerospace.

On behalf of the ASAA, we wish to extend our deepest condolences to our friends at the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome. We are saddened to hear about the tragic death of pilot Brian Coughlin this past Saturday while flying the museum’s Fokker D.VIII replica during their weekend airshow. Several ASAA members had the opportunity to create plein air paintings of the D.VIII last September at the "Color of Flight" workshop held at ORA. It’s such an awesome place run by some awesome people. Airplanes can be replaced…lives cannot. Our sympathies are with the friends, family and loved ones of Mr. Coughlin. See MoreSee Less
